Press Release 03/2008
Convert videos with the SuperEasy Video Converter 1.1: now also for play-back in the DVD-player!
The SuperEasy Video Converter converts digital videos from one format to another. Movies can thus be played on iPod, Nintendo Wii or on the mobile phone. As of now, the new version 1.1 offers the "DVD" profile, which enables the conversion of videos to MPEG-2- or AVI-format (DivX and Xvid). This paves the way for playback in the DVD-home cinema.
Videos are the modern fun of the digital generation. The only problem is that each medium requires its special format. No matter whether the user wants to watch his movies on the PC, the mobile phone or the game console: He always has to deal with a new video format and has to make sure that his movies are converted to exactly this format.
SuperEasy Video Converter proposes itself as shunting yard of the different video formats. The extremely easy-to-use program accepts videos from the Internet, hard disk or a video-DVD and converts them into the required target format. The menu provides numerous profiles, which pre-determine the target medium and then take care of the fine tuning (desired resolution, bit rate etc.). Version 1.0 of the SuperEasy Video Converter already provided the required settings and conversion filters for iPod, iPhone, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and mobile phone, paving the way to unrestrained amusement. The current version 1.1 includes the "DVD" profile, which perfectly completes the software.
SuperEasy Video Converter 1.1: now with "DVD" profile aboard
Most of the Video-DVD-players that are connected to the TV in the living room can hardly handle the common video formats. The movies first need to be converted to a suitable MPEG-2- or AVI-format in order to be played smoothly in the home cinema.
SuperEasy Video Converter 1.1 is able to convert existing movies to the format of a video CD, Super Video CD or video-DVD (all of them MPEG-2). It is likewise possible to select the Xvid- or DivX-format or to write Nero-Digital-compatible videos. Chief developer Florian Hohnsbehn: "With a program like Ashampoo Burning Studio it is no problem to burn the converted videos to a disc, which is played by commercial DVD-players. You can thus watch the self-converted movies directly on TV."
The new version now also accepts MOV- and Real-Video-movies as input, if Quicktime Alternative and Real Alternative are installed on the computer. On customers’ request, additional resolutions have been integrated for some profiles.
